triplicate pages in sitemap due to font sizer

Posted 11 years 9 months ago
    • When trying to create a sitemap, I get every single page in triplicate due to the font sizer.
its basically adding: ?font-size=larger, ?font-size=smaller… to each page url
I have disable the Font-Sizer features from template manager but these duplications still ocurr.
What can I do to avoid this issue once for all?
The problem also throws a warning up from google webmaster tool due to duplicate pages.
Is there any way to prevent site crawlers from discovering any pages with the ?font-size=smaller suffix?

      Thanks in advance
      Andy

    • I have also has this issue, and feel that I have to say something about it. Just by switching on the font sizer I got hundreds of new generated URL's. I think that someone should have thought about a solution to this?
On the other side you can block URL's from bots by adding the URL's to your robots.txt. I have noticed that all of the URL's generated contained somewhere in the URL a "?", so by blocking any URL that contains a ? in it should fix it.

To block urls with a ?, add this to your robots.txt

      Disallow: /*?
