Joomla 3.1 Gantry update error

Hi
I get this error on Joomla 3.1 and I have installed Gantry 4.1.11
Could not connect to resource: www.gantry-framework.org/updates/joomla16/gantry.xml /update.xml
I have installed RokUpdatesClean ( http://www.rockettheme.com/extensions-downloads/free/3493-rokupdatesclean ) but to no avail.
Whenever I want to open the template in Template Manager, I get this error. Is there some way of getting this resolved?

- Try to check your server's firewall if you blocked by any way access to the gantry framework web site

I have disabled the plugin 'Extension - Joomla' for now (I know - not ideal) - but for some reason this update is a mess.
I installed Joomla 3.1 but it states it is 3.0 but when I want to update it gives me invalid login error.
I have a Firewall but I have been updating extensions and the Joomla core for a while now without any glitches...
I think perhaps the latest Joomla is still a bit buggy... ?

We are constantly telling our members that J3.x is not ready for production sites until J3.5 will be released. Even then I would honestly wait for a few minor versions to be released
