I'm having a couple of problems with creating menus.
1. When I create a menu with sub-menus, and I select Options > Basic Options > Show Sub-menu Items, they all get turned on. Is there a way in the framework to have them only appear as hover, or do I need to do that manually in the CSS? This is not "Main Menu" selected in Template Manager > Menu, that one works fine. I need to replicate this functionality.
2. When I try to create a new menu item and set it in the Menu Item root, I get an error, "Save failed with the following error: Another menu item has the same alias in Root. Root is the top level parent"
This error occurs if I have the same Menu Item name in the root of a DIFFERENT menu. How do I create the same menu name in the root position in two different menus?

Hi there,
1. By selecting 'Show Sub-menu items' then it will open the menus and show sub-menu items. Set it to OFF then they will only show when required.
2. The alias (beneath menu item title) will need to be different. E.g. Creating two Home options means that the second one needs to have an alias different to home.
If this resolves your problem then please edit your first post in this thread by adding SOLVED at the start of the title and then select the green tick icon. This lets the moderators know that it can be moved to the solved section.

I've tried turning off sub-menus, but then nothing appears, and the sub isn't in the HTML. If I turn it on, they're all on. Again, this it thru a module, not the Gantry Template Manager.
For comparision, I've duplicated the menu module and placed it lower on the screen. It's the menu with green text and the big "Donate" button.

Hi there,
The donate option does not have a valid link. It does not show as being a parent item either.
Do you actually have any items set as sub-menu items for the donate item?
Can you PM me with a temporary Super Admin access please and I will take a look to see what the cause may be. Please include the link to this post for ease of reference.
