    K2 "Items must have a title" message after Gantry 4.1.22 update

    • After updating from Gantry 4.1.20 to 4.1.22 the "Item must have a title" notice loads on the screen whenever a front-end user either creates or edits an existing item. It happens before the item form content fully displays.

      The message displays before the user begins to enter information on a new item, and when the user edits items that have been in the database (with a title) for months.

      The message should only display if the user tries to save/submit the form without an entry in the title field, not before the form loads. And the message was displaying properly before the Gantry update to 4.1.22.

      After the update, if the form is saved without a title, a 404 error displays in the modal window instead of the "Item must have a title" notice.

      I have done extensive troubleshooting and narrowed this down to begining with an upgrade from Gantry 4.1.20 to 4.1.21 or 4.1.22. The message does not display with all current extension versions and Gantry 4.1.20. With Gantry 4.1.20 the message appears appropriately only if a title is not entered.

      Any ideas what changes in the Gantry updates could cause this?

    • After additional troubleshooting, it looks like this is actually a template (Hexeris 1.2) issue with Gantry 4.1.22. However after updating Hexerix to 1.3 the error persisted.

      The error goes away if I use either Gantry 4.1.22 template or Paradigm 1.2 template with Gantry 4.1.22; so I'm thinking now that it's not a Gantry issue.

      I will move this to the Hexeris template forum.
