    Gantry files on the server

Posted 11 years 2 weeks ago
    • I got complains from my hoster about something called Gantry files on the server. Because I'm the only RocketTheme user that host some websites at his server he asked me to fix this. Gantry keeps creating files on the server, how can I prevent this?

    • Those files are normal Gantry cache files. You could ask your hosting to create cron job which will periodically clean Joomla cache folder if those files are issue

    • My hosted said that the issue is not the cache folder but the tmp folder from the server /tmp

    • But then Gantry will create them again right? So my hoster should delete those files every time?

Isn't there a solution to prevent these files? Don't think he is the only hoster who has this problem.

    • I have to admit that I didn't see this kind of behavior before, so I can't comment on this. You can ask hosting to create a cron job that will remove those files periodically from the folder

    • Just had two websites that has been shut down because there were too many Gantry files on the server. My hoster deleted all the files, then it worked again. However, we still don't have a solution about this leak, does someone know anything about this and is there a solution to stop these files?
