250usd budget for 2 tasks on Gantry Framework, help needed

    • This may be an easy task for an expert on Gantry framework.

We have a Joomla/magebridge/magento platform; this is our testing site www.testing.onejungle.com .

Our problem is that some of the scripts and css load from Joomla, others from Magento, bridged and controlled by Magebridge.

To complicate it even more, some of the scripts at Joomla and magento come from added extensions running their own different js type and versions (like the ajax cart) outside of Gantry.

We are looking to integrate into Gantry framework as many as possible, all js and css on our platform.

Site handles 3 things, products (magento), Articles and most text content (k2) and images (Phoca Gallery).

There is also an installation of Affiliate Plus extension at Magento that has its own CSS too.

We are looking to improve Gmetrix gtmetrix.com/reports/testing.onejungle.com/Rak12ecq suggestions following Gantry Built-In Ajax System

We have done everything so far to achieve Page Speed Grade: (91%) and YSlow Grade: (75%), (you can compare with our live site gtmetrix.com/compare/D6o2unpn/JrGIG6OS however the Page loading time: 7.42s is still not good although total number of request is just 66.

System – RokGZipper and System – RokBooster are already installed and enabled.

We believe achieving a good Defer parsing of JavaScript may help a lot if done within Gantry built in Ajax System, this may assure that the none crucial JS can be download after page is downloaded.

Another issue: Now when we set Cache On at Joomla Global Configuration, site does not load.

We have a budget of 150usd to 1- optimize performance for our testing site testing.onejungle.com and

100usd to 2- Set up a fully menu mobile friendly template copy at Gantry Joomla (mobile speed also needed). These 2 tasks are something that should take just couple of days to any Gantry expert :-)

Full report on modified files and code or server changes should be delivered as result of your finished work so we can do same changes at live site.

Kind regards and thanks in advance

      Ismael

    • Topics like this should be placed in "The Marketplace" but you don't have a valid subscription to post there right now so i suggest that you get a new subscription and post in that forum instead.
    • Please reply with a direct link to the issue & create a new thread for each new issue.

    • Thanks Prim for your answer.

Yes, i folowed your advise and the advise from all developers at Rockettheme to renew my subscription again for the 4th time. I posted my request 2 weeks 4 days ago, but i only got 1 single answer from Bruce Valle, to which i answered to the 2 different emails he provided (as you do not allow us to reply to our own posts on this Marketplace forum) with no reply.

Basically i have done all i was told, sent emails and just lost my time and money so far.

Basically i have done all i was told your way, subscribed, sent emails and to find out so far I just lost my time and money. It is part of the learning process, no regrets.

In all this waiting time I have been working on my side. Managed to reduce the download speed, total # of requests went from 140 to 98. Site size lowered from 1.73mb to 1.35mb. However I still face some issues with “Defer parsing of JavaScript”; can’t manage to “Combine all images using CSS sprites” (specially on Zephir template) and to “Specify all image dimensions (also on zephyr slide show module)”.

Yes, rokbooster is enabled but css compression disabled as well as no compress of inline scripts. You would say I know the answer to my problems, but my problems it is a bit more complicated. Our site brings with magebridge lot of stuff from magento to show it at joomla, rokbooster has no clear way to exclude some CSS and/or JS.

My real questions are how to allow rokbooster exclude some CSS and JS?
This way I could still setup rokbooster to its full power without messing out my external functionality.

    • After digging some more found at ROKBOOSTER advanced options how to exclude anything.

      Problem solved.
