    • I have defined images/favicon.ico in base outline of Salient.
      Now I see 2 references for favicon:
      <link rel="icon" type="image/x-icon" href="images/favicon.ico"/>
<link href="templates/rt_salient/favicon.ico" rel="shortcut icon" type="image/vnd.microsoft.icon"/>
      Is this expected?

    • The "microsoft" one will be added by Joomla because you have a favicon.ico in your joomla root folder

      The other one is added by Gantry 5 because you have added a favicon reference to a different folder location in the base outline.

      So, yes, it's expected.
