Hypenation in menue links

  • Hypenation in menue links

    • Hi,

since German words are often longer than English ones, I need hyphenation in some menue links.

Because Chrome does not support hyphens:auto I have to do it manually by placing inside

This works perfectly within headlines, particles and so on but not on menues.

Whenever I place a inside a menue link, it get's kicked by saving the menue.

Is there a trick to achieve a line break (but not hard coded, only when needed because of responsiveness)?

      Thanks in advance,
      Björn

    • Could you please post a URL to your site (this can be done in the secure area tab if you prefer) so we can look for you. Without a link to page where the problem is on your site it is quite hard for us to provide the best solution due to so many variables. We try to provide file names and line numbers for code changes and if changes have already been made then our advice may be incorrect.

      Regards, Mark.

    • You can see the hyphens problem in the side menu.

The problem with hyphenation exists in Chrome and MS Edge.

Is there a solution since within menu links doesn't work (or maybe I did something wrong)?

      Thanks,
      Björn

    • Best thing I can think of is to use "word-break: break-all;" at least that way it breaks the huge words and wraps them to second line. did you use the -webkit-hyphens: auto; too in your custom CSS?
