I have a website using the Gantry framework and Ethereal theme. When using Google's Structured Data Testing Tool, it is showing 11 article schema errors:
author: missing and required
datePublished: missing and required
headline: missing and required
image: missing and required
name: missing and required
publisher: missing and required
dateModified: missing and recommended
mainEntityOfPage: missing and recommended
I want to prevent this microdata from being outputted. With other websites that we manage that use a different framework (such as Warp), the Structured Data Testing Tool does not display these article schema errors. I am only seeing it with Gantry sites. How can I prevent this?
The microdata comes from Joomla not Gantry 5 and as far as I know you can't turn it off.

I appreciate your response and understand what you're saying. However, we are seeing these schema errors specifically with sites that use Gantry, so it would appear that something with the Gantry framework is causing an issue.
Can you provide me with a link to those scheme error being reported. I tried GSDTT on the demo site and it didn't report any errors?
Regards, Mark.

Ok so you are referring to AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages). It is Joomla itself that would need to support AMP (not Gantry 5). So, you might want to ask for more information about this on the joomla.org forum. The current versions of Joomla do not support AMP and I believe plans to implement it are still some ways off. There was an extension written by a third-party but that no longer seems to exist.
