Cannot login to the frontend

  • Cannot login to the frontend

    • Hello,

When I attempt to login to the frontend of my site (not as a super user) I receive the follow error:

      Whoops \ Exception \ ErrorException (E_CORE_WARNING)
PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20121212/ffmpeg.so' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20121212/ffmpeg.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

      Screenshot of error page: screencast.com/t/Ct1U5qTRwbs

I can sometimes log in successfully without getting this error but do not know why it only works sometimes. Any help is appreciated.

      Thank you,

    • It looks like an error related to an extension.

Can you login to the backend?

    • Yes I am able to log into the backend. Any ideas on how to track down which extension is causing this issue?

    • What is the purpose of this extension exactly? In what way will this extension effect our site? We have multiple sites that are running Gantry and none of them are having this same issue. What is unique to our site jimwann.com? Judging by the features of the extension I'm assuming the audio and video on our site are causing issues. Is this a new requirement to run Gantry or is it at least suggested to be installed on a site with Gantry to avoid this potential error?

      Thank you

    • What is unique about our site jimwann.com that causes it to need this extension? Our other sites that run Gantry do not experience this error when logging in.

    • Please reply with details on why the ffmpeg-php extension is needed for our site. I would appreciate more information to support the need for this extension opposed to blindly instaling it.
