Force hamburger menu on tablets?

Hello,
I'm using Gantry 4 with rt_audacity and Roknavmenu dropdown on header-a (as it's configured on the template). This works great for both desktops and mobiles, when in desktop view the complete menu is displayed and when in mobile view the hamburger menu is displayed.
However, when in ipad/tablet view the complete menu is displayed but collapsed (see image below) since there are modules assigned in header-b and header-c.
is there a way I can force tablets to also use the hambuerger menu? Ideally I would like the hamburger menu displayed everywhere but desktops.

No, you can't change that in Gantry 4 as it is in both JS and CSS. I know it doesn';t help here but you can change this in Gantry 5 based templates.

Really? I find that hard to believe, did this issue never come up (where the tablet view has the menu collapsed) during the life of Ganrty 4? Are there no other work arounds that I can implement?
I tried to use Gantry 5 but I don't have the time or energy to commit myself to learning a whole new framework, it's so different from Gantry 4. - Last Edit: 8 years 8 months ago by mustafa_s.

Yes really. It has come up before and that's why we built it into Gantry 5, but it can't be changed in Gantry4. No, there are no other workarounds to force hamburger to show earlier than it does.
