"Recomplie CSS" completely stops the frontend website [Major Bug?]

Hello,
I have Gantry 5.4.17 install. Joomla 3.9.1 on PHP 7.1.
I recently updated to PHP 7.1 but that wasn't the issues. The Website was functioning just fine till I clicked on "Recompile CSS". It just stops the frontend website from even loading. Is there anything I can do? The Gantry CPanel did not show any error, just a pop-up with no message insider (indicating there was some issues but no error).

Please would you post your URL, superuser id and pswd in the secure tab of your post and I'll have a look for you.
also Please post your FTP logon, password and FTP URL in the secure area of your post.
