Gantry 5.5.16 update fails and causes site to not load

UPDATE: Discovered almost all "Gantry" items were disabled after attempt to update. Reenabled and then live site works again. Still cannot update Gantry to 5.5.16 - each attempt disables most of the "Gantry" items and site fails to load. Once I reenable those items site loads.
Joomla has updates and all seemed to install OK except Gantry update (to 5.5.16 from 5.5.15). Now site is down and I am unable to fix. Some help would sure be appreciated!

Same here. Watchful.li auto updated G5 on one of my sites and the site crashed with the error of please install the Gantry 5 framework. When I went into the back end to try to do so nothing I could do would allow it to install. Even uninstalling G5 completely then reuploading 5.5.16 would not work saying the install failed. Finally I found an old copy of 5.5.15 and put it up and it loaded and the site works fine now.
Something is wrong with the 5.5.16 version installer.

- Another of my auto updated sites just went down when it tried to install the new G5. Something is definitely wrong with 5.5.16

Same issue. Impossible to update Gantry 5.5.15 to 5.5.16
And now my site is down:

Please note that by the other member answering your post it took you out of the MODS "unanswered posts" queue and you therefore had to wait longer for an RT response.
Download the G5.5.16 release again (from releases) and you should be ok https://github.com/gantry/gantry5/releases
