does Gantry 5 work in Joomla 5 without a backwards compatibility plugin?

I went to the extension page in the Joomla catalog (JED) and found information only about compatibility with Joomla 3 and Joomla 4, but there is no information about compatibility with Joomla 5.
Can you update your JED page?

We're on it? That was more then 4 months ago! It's still not possible to disable the backward compatibility plugin without breaking Gantry.
When can we expect an update? And what about the future of Gantry? It's extremely quite around Gantry.
