Huge logfiles with deprecated message

Hi members,
Every day my website will go offline because of a huge logfile.
The logfile will use the maximum space thats available on the harddisk.
I am using:- Joomla 3.10
- PHP 7.4.33
- Theme: RocketTheme Clarity
- Joomla 3.10
After deleting the logfile, the website works fine.
I tryed several solutions that I found online, but nothing worked for me.- Put the backup back from weeks to month
- Changed error_reporting at my hosting
- Changed several parameters logging to false in httpdocs/media/gantry5/engines/nucleus/scss/vendor/bourbon
- Turned off GZIP
Does anybody have the correct solution? Thank you.

What version of Gantry? Gantry 4, and Joomla 3, are end of life.
I would honestly just recommend turning off error logging or only log service impacting errors... deprecated notices and warnings are just notes to developers and aren't service impacting. - SEARCH the forum first! In the PHP settings, I have the option error_reporting.

The default value was E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_STRICT & ~E_DEPRECATED
I changed it to E_ALL, still the same problems.
The option log_errors www.php.net/manual/en/errorfunc.configur...n.php#ini.log-errors
The default value is off, didint change this.

Having that set as that default display value (which should only print actual errors, not notices or warnings) is fine (you should change it back to that) but you want to set log_errors=0 so that it's not logging anything and filling up your log

As every host is different and this is well outside the scope of Theme support (particularly if you're using Gantry 4 which is end of life/legacy) you'll need to work with your host if you can get it to stop logging php warnings and notices - Last Edit: 4 months 1 week ago by Matt.

Dear Matt and RocketTheme Team
,
We have been using RocketTheme templates and programs with great pleasure for years.
And we always update our websites for our customers with the latest RocketTheme updates to avoid problems.
But in recent weeks we have done everything to solve the problem of this website with the Clarity template and Gantry 5.5.19.
We initially thought it was after the Gantry 5.5.19 update on June 25, 2024.
We are now afraid that we will have the same problems with all our RocketTheme websites.
Whatever we did, nothing helped and all we could do was restore the backup every day.
We have now restored the website with the old Gantry 5.5.17.
So we no longer know what to do and you are our last salvation.
I hope you can let your heart speak and look at this website.
I will also send you a login.

- The latest version of Gantry does have deprecated notices and warnings in the code for the PHP 8 series. These are not service impacting, they are advising that the functions won't work in future versions of PHP (ie the 9 series) and in my opinion they don't need to be logged. I've advised best I can here but ultimately you'll need to work with your webhost to stop logging non service impacting notices.
