Upgrade Crystalline to Gantry 3.0.9

I currently have Crystalline 1.5.6 installed with Gantry 3.0.7. My template manager gave me an option to download 3.0.9.
Can I just Install the new framework ZIP or do I need to follow some other procedure ?

hi there,
all you need to do is get the gantry_joomla_framework-3.0.x.zip from here:
code.google.com/p/gantry-framework/downloads/list
and install it through your joomla admin > extensions > install/uninstall...

- I did that and the notification still states that I have version 3.0.6 and that an upgrade for 3.0.9 is available. I am working on template somaxiom... any ideas on what else I should be doing? I did the instructions mentioned above.

Have you cleared your cache and cookies?
If you received no error messages during the install / update, that may be the issue. - Thanks,

Yes I have cleared cache and cookies... still shows
Another thing is when I installed although it did not give me an error message, it did not say that it was successfully installed... the page just loads and that's it... is this normal?

looks it did not install correctly then, you should get a message after a successful installation.
can you try again and doublecheck that you have the correct file.

Hi Kat,
Turns out I can't install anything... this is a fresh joomla installation using rocket launcher for Somaxiom... I've just uploaded it to my server and just can't seem to install anything. The install page just refreshes and that's it; nothing happens. Any ideas? Heard of such a problem before?
Your help would be highly appreciated... Not to keen on using any approach other than RocketLauncher as a start up for this website.

this seems to be related to a wrong server setup or bad permission settings.
