is this applicable to diametric template? i need to widen the width so my logo would fit in the center of the navigation menu without sending the other menu items on the bottom..

Oh my Gosh........Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooo much for this post David!!!! You saved me hours of figure out how to change width of template:) I used on voxel - WORKS LIKE CHARM!!!!

I don't know what happen but it was David post step by step when I posted replay it came here. Haven't been here for ages so a bit lost sorry if I posted wrongly. IT was David post step by step he put instructions with downloaded files.

Probably a silly question, but how do I install the zip file? I unzip it, but how do I upload it where it is mentioned?
"Download the attached zip file. Unzip it and then upload the file - mywidth.php - to your features directory in the template. For most people this will be via ftp to /public_html/your.domain/templates/rt_tachyon_j16/features"
And a last question, how do I clear my cache? I read that it is necessary to do so.
I use Clarion template and joomla 2.5. Have you tried it in Clarion? Is it working?

ummm you already quoted that ... It's the features folder of your template.
Best is to use a ftp-app.
Don't forget to add the stuff in template-options.xml
No I didn't try it with clarion ... you need to find that out yourself.

Well yes..this is why it is a silly question..I know that I quoted the answer, but after I go to Template Manager --> Clarion Template --> features folder what do I do next? I mean I can't find how to upload the unzipped file. If you could be more detailed please.

The stuff? Is this what I have to do for my question of how to clear the cache? Sorry I can't understand

you need to use an ftp application like filiezilla to put the file in place.
It's not an installable package.
You also need an application to change template-options.xml as mentioned above.
Btw I would use the file that Simon uploaded.
Please note that this is not an official RT-feature and support is limited.
I really don't have the time to cover everything (and David or Simoin hasn't the time either)
You need to at least know how to upload something, how to change code and how to clear the cache via the Joomla backend (Site > Maintenance > clear cache).
If you are very new to Joomla and css the "mywidth.php"-feature is perhaps a bit too much for you. Be sure to take a backup before you try it.
