If Virtuemart, no moo125?

  • If Virtuemart, no moo125?

    • Gantry's loading of mootools 1.2.5 causes problems with Virtuemart - yes, there are some other posts regarding this, with one possible fix being to stop virtuemart from loading it's version of mootools.

I need a different solution. Is it possible to do something like an IF/ELSE command for mootools.1.2.5, so IF component = virtuemart, don't load mootools1.2.5, ELSE load it?

I mean, moo125.php already checks to see if mtupgrade is enabled, and if it is, does it's thing. So how difficult would it be to add one more variable to that?

    • Okay, when in doubt... fight plugins with plugins!

I used Peter Van Weston, www.nonumber.nl , used his ReReplacer plugin to remove the mootools1.2.5 script ONLY from the VirtueMart component. Easy enough fix until the day that everyone updates their stuff to be compliant with the latest standards and friendly with every other component / module / plugin / framework.

I'm sure that day is just around the corner!

Hi, could you give me the syntax that you have used on ReReplacer ?

      thanks

    • Syntax is really simple, for anything, you just literally copy and paste whatever it is you want to replace. And if you want it to just be removed, don't enter anything into the second box. Also, there are a few settings you can play with depending on what you are trying to replace, so make sure that you choose the settings that allow searching in the <head> tags, if you're trying to remove something from the header.

    • Well, you create A new Item in the rereplacer component, then just look at the settings. There's a space to enter the line of code that you want to remove, make sure you set it to search the <head> section and it'll strip whatever you want out of the code on whatever page you assign the rereplacer item to.

If by newbie you mean new to joomla or you don't understand what the <head> of your page is, or you don't know how to look at the source code of a webpage and find the <script type="text/javascript" src=blahblah...<\script> thats loading mootools 1.2.5, i would go to the no number website and read the documentation and then use the forum there for more help.

Or, look into the latest virtuemart beta and upgrade the shop.

    • In fact I didn't understood the interest (and functionnality) of rereplacer. It's ok now and it's really a good plugin.
      Thank's a lot !
