Gantry not allowing save on new rotator pics

Hi, Im using joomla 1.5.23, panacea template, gantry version 3.1.15 and when I try to drag and save the new rotator images in gantry a white box appears in the top left of page, I can drag the new images across but then when SAVE is clicked a small white box with no text appears.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Gantry. I have checked debug is turned off. I have also turned SEF's off but it didn't make a difference.
Really appreciate help here as site is going to client tomorrow!

- Hi, I have gone to template/panacea/params.ini file and manually removed existing rotator image file names and replaced with new image file names and the rotator is now working which is great. However, I would appreciate a fix as we use Panacea with Gantry a fair bit. Thanks!

Having the exact same problem! Joomla 1.5.23, and just upgraded Gantry to 3.1.15 and it seems to have broken the Rotator save ability in the Template admin. I also get the same white box in top left hand corner after save, and the rotator amend page is no longer central (in Chrome at least) and instead is up in the top left hand corner - weird!?)
Thanks so much DerekA for the fix suggestion, but it didn't unfortunately seem to work for me - I changed the "rotator-backgrounds= " section in the params.ini file - did you change anything else to get this working? I've cleared all my caches (joomla and browser), and tested in Chrome, FF and IE, with no luck... Any suggestions would be fantastic
RT gurus - any idea on a fix for this?

Hi DerekA - Finally figured out why the fix wasn't working for me - Custom Settings for Home Page was enabled! Workaround is doing the job for now (phew!), but still an irritating bug....

unless i am misunderstanding your post, the gantry per-menu-item configuration is not a bug, but a great function for your gantry based site.
you can find more info about the per menu item configuration here in the gantry documentation.
also make sure to watch the little video tutorial.

Thanks so much for looking into this! The bug is not the gantry per-menu-item config (that was just something I had forgotten about when trying to implement DerekA's workaround). The bug is the first post in this thread:

I have just upgraded to the same gantry version (3.1.15) and my panacea rotator is now also broken and will not allow me to save (so I have to use DerekA background hack to workaround the problem, but means I can't use the rotator save in the template anymore)
Any ideas Kat?

ah ok, i get it.
after you updated gantry, did you also update panacea itself?
if you check the changelog there was a bug at some point with the rotator and a newer gantry version, so panacea got updated as well.

Hi Kat, from your replies I understand I need to update Panacea but there has already been days of css changes made (and to virtuemart) ... will the template be affected at all when I update? as the site is meant to be going live tomorrow and I can't afford any time delays? Thanks The only issue is Gantry will not save.

hi again,
to update a template you can use one of 2 different methods. which one can be used depends on if you have customized the template or not.
1. if you have not customized your template:
uninstall the existing template and reinstall the latest version, you will have to reconfigure the template parameters.
2. if you have already customized your template, then check the changelog of the template to see which files have changed from your version to the latest. then follow the suggestions in this blog post:

if you do not want to update your template, you probably have to downgrade gantry.
