{Solved} settings per menu item in joomla 2.5?

I am trying to figure out how to set settings per menu item in joomla 2.5?
in 1.5 it works, but in 2.5 the default menu settings is greyed out?
Iam not sure what to do?
Is there a tutorial for 2.5?

hi there,
this is handled differently in j2.5, not only by us but also by the joomla core.
in your template manager, open the master template, then click 'save as copy'.
rename the new copy and change all the settings as you like, then make sure that in the 'assignments' tab you select on which pages you wish to use this new copy.

but in the default MASTER none is selected?,
do I have to select all others there after that?

the master should be set as default. a template set as default will display on all pages, so it does not need to be assigned to any pages. only templates that are NOT the default need to be assigned if you want to use them on certain pages.
