Thanks for responding. Just so we're on the same page, the gantry copyright widget seems to only accept text for the copyright Text field. I need to add links to my privacy policy and terms and conditions in along with the copyright. So, is there some escape character or something like that you can use when you want to insert a link into your copyright? I've tried many things but it doesn't parse the html codes like the <a> tag. Have you been able to make it work with the gantry copyright widget?
You'll need to create the custom pages you want to link to. After you create a new menu within the template manager. Assign the custom pages you want to link to the new menu. Create a custom override and assign the menu to the footer widget position.
I tested it and it kinda works. It provided the links to the two pages I wanted to refer to. However, I didn't see a way to append text to it. Basically all I want is "Company Consulting Copyright 2012" followed by links to terms & conditions and things like that.
Anyway, I find it to be a round about way of doing it. I installed the "Blog Copyright" plugin which does the job perfectly but I hope the Gantry team will enhanced the Gantry Copyright widget to support html parsing. It would make it much easier and users don't have to install additional plugins for that functionality. I think it's quite common for websites to put links to their privacy policy along with their copyright information.
Scott, thanks for all your help though! I've learned something new with this procedure...
