    • This is certainly odd. Can you try to remove MC completely, together with all plugins and modules that comes with it?

    • It will not let me delete MC. There are about 6 occurrences of it and when I tried to delete it deleted about half of them. I select the others to delete and I get this error.

    • hi houston,

the message means: you can not DELETE the last style of a template. if you want to remove it you have to UNINSTALL it in the extensions manager. for that you will have to assign another admin template as the default first.

    • I guess I am just going to rebuild the site. What a mess and a pain just to resolve what seems to be a simple problem.

      Thank you guys for trying.

    • hi houston,

i dont see the need to rebuild your site because of this.
in another thread the missing "assignments" tab came back when the member updated joomla to 2.5.7. she was on 2.5.4 but did not know that a previous joomla update attempt went wrong.

    • (jumping up and down almost hitting the ceiling)

Thank you Kat05, updating to 2.5.7 did the trick. But another issue I noticed is that when I clicked on each if the pages that i wanted to apply the new layout to, the check box would disappear. That i can live with.

      Many thanks,
      Houston

    • I also experienced both the multiple Mission Control instances (13 of them) and the missing Assignments tab. I was on Joomla 2.5.4 and the updater page did not offer the 2.5.7 upgrade.

Once I updated Joomla by downloading the updater package from Joomla.org and then using the Extension installer to upload and upgrade, the Assignments tab reappeared and some other layout glitches I was experiencing were fixed (certain layout settings in the Syndicate template options were not registering even though the slider was where I wanted it).

I had also deleted all of the Mission Control instances in the Extension Manager > Manage tab before upgrading to 2.5.7 and have just reinstalled it and made it default again. So far so good.

This set me back a little today, but I'm glad I found this post on the forum. Rockettheme is still the best template service in my experience because of things like this.

      Thanks!
