Seeing responsive results for different devices

Hi forum,
I don't know if there is a way, but it would be very nice to be able, as a developer, to see what the website will look like on different devices.
With the responsive templates, seeing the actual result for a tablet or smartphone, means using a tablet or smartphone, right ?
It would be nice to able to see the result on your desktop, so you can see the impact right away.
Just a thought

you could try firefox webdeveloper addon:
addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/web-developer/
then you just go to > resize > view responsive layouts...
