Will the new menu in Gantry replace the Fusion menu?

In the latest Gantry 4.1.x the fusionmenu isn't availible anymore. It's replaced by a Dropdown-Menu.
A lot of things are changed in the template and i am running in a lot of trouble with all kind of conflicts.
I don't know it it is cause by the new menu, but in the past I made already some templates based on Gantry and they all work smootly without any problems or conflicts.
Now I am thinking to look into a way to put the Fusionmenu back in the template. But will the fusionmenu still be availlible in the future or will this new menu replace fusionmenu?
And how about Joomla 3, will fusionmenu be made for that too?
I hope somebody can give me an quick answer on this, because my product is running out of time and I have to make a decission.

- If you check the code for the dropdown menu, you will see that this dropdown menu effectively is the fusion menu. The only thing that has changed is the name. I will ask Andy if I am right, but I am pretty sure that this is the case.

It is still RokNavMenu and I think you will find that the only changes are styling via less and css.

There were also some core file changes to make this version J3.0 compatible and better suited to our new responsive templates.
However, fire it up and it's still the good ol' RokNavMenu

- I think the new version is a lot more stable. The old version, for me at least, used to be buggy in that the drop menu would simply not work. New version works perfect.

That's good news
Like I said there are so many changes lately in Gantry, and I am strugling sometimes to get it work smootly, while I didn't had much problems before in v3 and the start of v4.
However there are also a lot of things added like responsiveness, less etc and every new thing take some time to get used of it I guess.
Good to know that I can skip the menu from my "problem" list then.

I have Gantry 4.1.25 + Joomla 2.5.25 and I use gantry defaut template.
I want to use the "Fusion menu" in the Gantry template page. I understood in this topic that the new "Dropdown-menu" as see in the "Menu Control" item has replaced teh old Fusion menu in the admin panel of gantry template.
Question :
How to have the old (nice) parameters of the menu ? ("Enable JavaScript", "Menu effect", delay, duration, ......) I can't find them and need them.
