SOLVED Remove query strings from static resources - Gantry - Fontawesome

Joomla 3.2.2
Template: Anacron
Gantry: 4.1.21
Upon running GTmetrix and Pingdom tools, I get a 0 grade on the 'remove query strings from static resouces'. The recommendation is as follow:
Resources with a "?" in the URL are not cached by some proxy caching servers. Remove the query string and encode the parameters into the URL for the following resources:
/libraries/gantry/assets/jui/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff?v=3.2.1
I only want to use standard fonts like Helvetica and so on which I have setup in the template configuration but still, the fontawesome is still being called and giving me low grade.

You are using fontawesome for icons - eg. roksocialbuttons at top right.

Posted 11 years 1 month ago- MrT! I thank you for your quick response. I have dissabled the social media feature from the template and dissabled a module that was using FontAwesome, to test it and cleared all cache but I am still getting the exact same message.

fontawesome is used in lots of places throughout the template and is an inherent part of the template/gantry it will be loaded unless you want to start hacking the code.
In my opinion trying to do this is an unnecessary academic exercise. However, I can tell you that the main references to it will be located in
\libraries\gantry\assets\jui\less\font-awesome\path.less
\libraries\gantry\assets\jui\less\font-awesome4\path.less

I agree with you MrT about'trying to do this is an unnecessary academic exercise'! I am actually getting 99/100 on Gmetrix and 97/100 for YSlow and I am not sure why I am complaining about this. I guess I am just looking to perfect the overall performance and get 100/100 and all of them (LOL).
