Hello all,
I have been working hard lately on getting to FOF and customising my own extension and am near the point of front end development. I haven't been a member in a while because I haven't had the need for much anything, no fault of rockettheme. Anyway I have been investigating other frameworks, Wright and T3 and am very curious about the state of gantry. I think the sea of changes are being derived from the adoption of bootstrap3 and jquery and I see many things I like but I have a fondness for familiarity and that is gantry and it(gantry/rockettheme) comes with some respectable developers. So I ask: are there any plans on changing gantry? If so what are they...
And just for note: the only thing that has me excited is the little sidebar module pullout thing that I think should come stock with joomla!

Now that we've got the RTV3 site up and running we're actively assessing what might be in the next Gantry version. So, hopefully you should see something this year. As to what it will contain, we're still working on that at the moment. As always all ideas from our members are welcome - please make suggestions in the gantry forums or "requests" forum.

- That is great to hear! The slide out modules are the only big draw form me. I will be possibly looking into how to do this with gantry myself. My eyes begin to glaze over though trying to interperet how template frameworks sink their way into system plugins. I understand some of the effect to maintain backward compatability but I could spend months making sense of it all and unfortunately it is easy to get sidetracked. I look forward seeing what is to come.
