SOLVED Gantry 5 Force Module Position

Posted 9 years 11 months ago
    • A very basic question.
I added a new grid with several positions. Can find option to force position. Do I need to use CSS Class to do this?

      Thanks

    • What exactly are you trying to do. Forcing positions was never a good idea in G4 - even less so in G5. So if you can give me real example I might be able to suggest something different.

Could you please post a URL to your site (this can be done in the secure area tab if you prefer) so we can look for you. Without a link to page where the problem is on your site it is quite hard for us to provide the best solution due to so many variables. We try to provide file names and line numbers for code changes and if changes have already been made then our advice may be incorrect.

      Regards, Mark.

    • MrT Thanks for your quick response.

Here is what I'm trying to do.
Under navigation section, I added a new grid and 3 module positions each 33.3%.
I want to publish a module at pos-3 and pos-1 and pos-2 intentionally left blank. Currently this module displayed at pos-1 as first two position is empty. How I can get this module force its position to pos-3?

    • Why not just publish an empty module to those other two positions then for that particular page (menu item).

You can also create a different outline assigned to that page too and then use a spacer particle in place of those other two module positions.
