SOLVED Gantry 5 - how to allocate particle or module to multiple template

Posted 9 years 11 months ago
    • Hi Guys,

Just wondering if there's a way to allocate a module or particle to multiple templates.

For example, let's say you have a phone number on a website and you've got a few different layouts, therefor you've created 4-5 different templates (I see there's 16 in the Callisto Rocketlauncher)

Now let's say you the client has a change of phone number.....at the moment I would need to go into 4-5 (or in the Rocketlaunchers case 16!) different templates to change this phone number.

Surely there has to be a way of allocating a particle as 'default' and this then get's distriburted to all your templates?
      Or am I missing something?

The devs are working on a particle-module that can be the default for all Outlines. No ETA - sorry.

    • Hi DanG,

Thanks mate. At the rate that clients change their mind about elements on a website, this is a must have, particularly for complex sites as not having this feature increases management and development time exponentially.

Appreciate the Dev's looking into it.
