SOLVED Gantry 5 Layout Overrides

Hi, I reviewed the video on Gantry 5 Layouts on the Gantry Documentation but it didn't answer this question. In Gantry 4 I could set my Default widgets and then they would inhert into all the overrides unless I overrode them by checking the box on the widget. It seems in Gantry 5 this cannot be done as I have to re-create each layout.
I realize I can make a copy of an existing layout, but problem is now when I make a change to my default/base layout I have to go and make that same change in all my other layouts. Am I missing something that would make this process easier? My first snag in Gantry 5, otherwise I love the updates and flexability it brings.

- Any update on when we may see the ability to inherit overrides/settings from the Base Outlook into our additional layouts? I hesitate to add too many layouts until I know I can set something in the base outline. The main thing for this is something as simple as setting the width of say the logo/nav/search in the header and being able to change it globally later for the entire site. Otherwise I may have to go back into doezens of layouts and manually adjust.

- The outline inheritance is coming in 5.4 version when i don't know but i think soon ...

Is it possible to set the default values?
Currently new Outlines default to using RocketTheme social urls, etc.
For now, it might be easier if these default to my customs urls, particle info etc.

Yes set them in the Particle Defaults Tab!
