SOLVED Disable the error page ?

Posted 9 years 5 months ago
    • Hi there,

I'd like to know if it was possible to disable the error page ?
So that I can redirect 404 to an url using htaccess.
      Thank you !

    • our error.php is loaded via Joomla Routing... so if you set something custom in your .htaccess it should circumvent/override our error page...

    • This was specific to Gantry 4... and no, there's no other easy/real way to override Joomla routing than what I suggested...

    • Thanks SOLVED.

      I find 2 possible way,
1— Use the Joomla way at —> docs.joomla.org/Creating_a_Custom_404_Error_Page
Work in Isotope Template and bypass your error page outline.

2- Another way is with using Redj (free) and using in Redj Component custom 404 settings this trick
      {site url}/index.php/en/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=30:error-article&catid=24:error&lang=en-GB&Itemid=330
I’m in discussion with Redj DEvs if it’s a problem to use their software that way at www.selfget.com/forum/redj/1288-how-to-i...e-404-page.html#5234

In both case you have to add a special menu with an error page article and add any surrounding module needed

    • Something is really weird,
I put the Original RT error.php (without the custom 404 error code) and passing from Joomla 3.6.0 t0 3.6.2 brake the front page ????

      I keep looking....

    • I reload an older version of my site where I didn’t touch anything that connect to the error page.

      — Original Error Outline
      — Original RT error.php

No other modif, update to Joomla 3.6.2 bring the normal RT error page on my index page
      http://localhost/mymampfolderwithIsotope/index.php/en/
      or http://localhost/mymampfolderwithIsotope/index.php

I will try with Isotope clean

    • I try a basic Isotope with really few of the components I always use that is the base of the new site I’m working on

Meaning that only a really small amount of modif is done on this site

      — Multilingual
      — Akeeba
      and other basic component addition

Not working — Update to 3.6.2 bring the normal RT Error page
      http://localhost/myfolderwithisotope/index.php/

Now I will try with a basic clean install of Isotope
