    After Update CSS Not Loading [CLOSED]

    Posted 9 years 3 weeks ago
    • After updating to Gantry 5, my CSS isn't loading to admin my RT site template (Nuance). I'm at a loss for what to do. Is this a common issue, easy to fix? I've checked out my config file (everything looks correct), repaired/optimized my tables, re-installed Gantry...

      Troubleshooting discovery: When I checked the source code of the template manager page, a huge chunk of content is missing - all the head content, javascripts, etc. It starts with
      <div class="g4-wrap defaults-wrap">

      and all the content that should precede it is missing.

      The rest of the site works great. No CSS issues.

    • Hmmmm, if you are using Nuance then why have you install Gantry 5? Nuance is a Gantry 4 template and is incompatible with Gantry 5. You've also installed Gantry 4 completely? Gantry 4 and Gantry 5 are completely different frameworks and require their own specifically designed templates.

      Regards, Mark.

    • A notice popped up saying there was an update available for Gantry. After I clicked the update is when I experienced the issue. I figured something in the update didn't take so I downloaded the files (apparently the wrong files) directly and re-ran the install manually. It didn't seem to fix (or otherwise hurt) the issue. I'll give installing Gantry 4 manually a try...

      update: after downloading and manually installing the Gantry 4.1.31 framework, the issue is still present.

    • So I checked now and the page seems to be loading fine, all the scripts are loaded and yuour custom CSS file is being loaded too. So what do you believe is missing specifically please? Please do a screenshot of your problem and annotate to make it clear.

      Make sure you clear browser cache and server cache too.

      Regards, Mark.

    • In Extensions/Templates, select MP by Aqua Sphere. This is what I see:

    • The reason for the error is that the log file location you have set in global configuration is unwriteable. Once you correct this you should then be ok.

    • I don't think that was it. There was no folder by that name so I created one and ensured it was writeable. It still didn't fix the issue. My solution was to restore to just before I updated Gantry.

    • Well you really need to get Gantry 5 to the latest version as we release updates frequently which contain bug fixes. I'd be happy to look at this again for you once updated and the log path is corrected if you still have an issue.
