SOLVED Edit Module Positions in Module Manager

So I have given access to my client to login to the module manager. When the client selects the module position, the only module positions I want to be displayed are the ones I have set in the template layout. I have discovered I can acheive this by deleting the module positions I don't need from the templateDetails.xml giving my client a nice easy list of available module positions they can use.
Brilliant.
There is just one problem though. After saving the layout in the template the templateDetails.xml file reverts back to default showing ALL the positions, plus the extra ones I have added. Is there a way to prevent G5 saving the default positions as well?

- Yes you can delete them in template .... layouts folder and also you need to see what layouts you have in Gantry 5 in admin section that is also showing in there ... check all outlines ...
