SOLVED Gantry 4.1.31 caused mootools-core.js error on Joomla

My website uses Gantry default template (free) v4.1.31 with Gantry Framework 4.1.31, though I am a Paid Member of RT club. I am just not ready to upgrade to Gantry 5 and use one of those commerical template.
Recently I noticed that when inspecting my Joomla webpage with Google Chrome, there will show an error:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'appendChild' of null mootools-core.js:91
When I check the file path of that mootools-core.js, that is:
Which means this is directly loaded from my Joomla core.
But, if I switch to Joomla default template "Protostar", there is no any js error at all in Chrome panel.
So I think this problem was caused by Gantry, right?

In that post, you can find detailed system information of my Joomla installation , as well as some of my server info.
I hope Gantry team can check this for me and help me to find out the real reason.
If this is a bug of Gantry 4.1.31, please fix it and release a new version of Gantry.

I think it's a bit of a leap to say that because you don't get the error on Protostar that it's automatically a Gantry 4 issue.
I don't believe that error is cause by Gantry 4 at all. You can prove this by loading a clean rocketlauncher installation of Gantry 4.1.31 on the same server and updating it to latest Joomla version - you won't see the error then. So, I suspect that the issue is cause by one of your many extensions/scripts that you have installed, so you could try disabling these one at a time clearing server and browser cache between each change until you find the culprit.

You are right!
I followed your instructions, and then found out that was a system plugin named "Ads Starter Elite", which was installed several days ago to show Google Ads.
Now I uninstalled that plugin, no more js errors show up.
Sorry for wronged Gantry.
