SOLVED Gantry Component 4.1.29 not removed on upgrade to 4.1.31

  • SOLVED Gantry Component 4.1.29 not removed on upgrade to 4.1.31

Posted 9 years 2 weeks ago
    • I had a problem logging into my Site (no problem logging in to administration) and started fishing around for a solution. I discovere I had two Gantry 4 Components enabled: 4.1.29 and 4.1.31
I am not sure how long this state has existed - I updated Gantry 4 a few days ago. Should I have manually disabled the 4.1.29 component?
Having disabled and now uninstalled the 4.1.29 component, I could not access the Sirocco Template - receiving a 404 error.

I have now re-installed the Gantry Joomla Framework 4.1.31 and this seems to have restored the Tepmplate.
Maybe there was a problem with either the 4.1.29->4.1.30 or 4.130->4.1.31 upgrade?
I will search the forum to see if I can solve the login problem and post another forum entry if I can't solve it.

Having two versions of Gantry 4 can be very problematic. So it sounds like this is resolved now. Are you still having the Login issue?

    • Thank you, yes this issue has been solved by reinstalling the Gantry Joomla framework 4.1.31

The Login problem has also been solved, thanks to Mark (Mr T). The EU ePrivacy Directive plugin was stopping logins. I moved the module to a more prominent position to show when Cookies were disabled and added a message to the Login page to reiterate the issue.
