SOLVED Problems using PHP 7 due to missing Platform Info

  • SOLVED Problems using PHP 7 due to missing Platform Info

Posted 8 years 11 months ago
    • Hi

I'm gradually updating sites to use PHP 7

I have 2 gantry 4 sites which are causing me problems. I get the following after activating PHP7 when I call up the backend login :

This image is hidden for guests.
Please log in or register to see it.

The frontend has only a Error 500 to show.

Having looked for "platforminfo" in the files, the only place I can find it is in gantryplatform.class.php

There seems to be something in that code which is incorrect.

The two templates in use are Voxel and Momentum

      Can you provide a solution?

      Regards
      David

    • Hi Mark

      Thanks for your help.

Yes, everything is up to date, including the template. It's a mystery to me, as most other sites have presented no problems.

    • It seem you have a problem with that site anyway on php5.6 - you can get into template manager at all it just 404s? So I reinstalled Gantry and that seems to have fixed that issue.

Can you switch the site to PHP7 then so I can check the other issue please.

      Regards, Mark.

    • I've switched it to 7 but get the same errors. I'll leave it that way for a few minutes.

    • One of your extensions must be incompatible with PHP7 - switch it back and I'll have another look.

    • I've checked everyone and it's only when I turn off Gantry that I don't get that error. That's why I've landed here in the forum.

Gantry is also the only component that has that term "platforminfo" occuring in it.

      I've switched it back

    • Try it again now. You had rokcommon installed (an old version) but did not have roksprocket or rokgallery installed - so I just uninstalled rokcommon. Let's see if that helps...

      Thanks a bunch, Mark.

I'll check out my other site where I have a problem and see if that's the same isse there!
