SOLVED (PHP Config Issue) Gantry Unresponsive

  • SOLVED (PHP Config Issue) Gantry Unresponsive

Posted 8 years 11 months ago
    • Server Details (Linux/Windows, Hosting service, etc)Hosting Service (HostDime.com, Shared Hosting)
      PHP version5.4.45
Platform (name and version)Joomla 3.5.1 (Latest)
Template/Extension (name and version)Kraken (Same issue with other templates however)
      Link to the Issue williammiceli.me/

I've cleared Joomla's cache, when I try to clear Ganty's cache, it never gives me the confirmation that the cache has been cleared, and I have cleared my browser's cache.

When I switched to a different browser for the first time, the page displayed normally, however after I refreshed the page, it displayed the same error.

      Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

      Thank you!

    • What browser did you switch to?

Have you tried it in your other browser?

    • I always use Chrome. I switched to Microsoft Edge and Firefox, which both provided the same results.

I'm going to go ahead and reinstall Joomla since I've pretty much done nothing with it so far, and hopefully it doesn't show up again. It's been up for maybe a couple days, and has no content with maybe one or two extensions installed.

The attachment is a webpage download that shows exactly what was being displayed.

    • Well, I'm still having similar issues. Basically everything except within Gantry works fine. When in Gantry, like enabling modules, clearing the cache, basically making any changes, it gives me the spinning loading icon, but I can sit here all day and it won't finish, or make any actual changes to the site.

Quite literally, I have added a single article, Gantry, Hydrogen Theme (To see if it was template specific), and the Kraken theme.

    • If anyone is willing to take a look, I can make an administrator account for a reputable person to use.

    • That fixed it! I really appreciate your help!

I guess I should have payed more attention to the error message, as now that I look back, it was basically right in my face, haha.

I think I'll still be switching hosts though, as I don't have really any control over the PHP version (other features of my plan seem to be slowly dissappearing as well), and having extensions suddenly removed without notice is a bit annoying. I've had hosting with HostDime for a couple years and never had any issues, but apparently now they have discontinued my type of service plan; so I think it's probably time to move on.

Thank you again! You all at RocketTheme are absolutely incredible!
