SOLVED make menu expand on hover for level 3

Hi,
For some reason I cannot seem to make my menu work like I want so I'm looking for someone to give me a push in the right direction.
What I would like to make is a menu that will make menu-items expand on hover for more that the 2 levels that is does now.
So like this :
Home | webshop | contact
category1 | category2 | category3
subcata
subcatb
subcatc
Unfortunately this only works now until the category level and not on the subcat level.
Tried a lot of config options but no result... am I doing it wrong or is it not possible like this ?
This menu is now not visible on the website, it's behind a registered login but can be supplied to have a look.

It's not possible the level 2 menus only open on click. This has been done deliberately and cannot be changed.

Thanks for the explanation.
Now I don't have to look for my mistake.
All I have to do now is find a way to create a megamenu a different way and be more creative
