SOLVED Upgrade from Gantry 4 to Gantry 5

I have searched and couldn't find a definitive answer as to upgrading from G4 to G5 so I took the plunge. The steps I took -
- Backup website
- Install Gantry 5
- Disable Gantry 4
- Install a Gantry 5 compatible template
So far everything seems to work fine and previous components, etc. seem to work as before.
Perhaps this might help someone take the plunge and upgrade. -

- afaik there is no upgrade path from Gantry4 to Gantry5, actually you can have both working on same joomla installation.

- Ok, maybe it is not an "upgrade" per se. Gantry 4 has been removed/uninstalled, the modules that used positions that were no longer available were reassigned to new positions and nothing else has been done. The website is in fact using Gantry 5 and has full Gantry 5 structure. Nothing was done to the database - everything just continued to work by simply installing Gantry 5 and a Gantry 5 compatible template. I'll try another later today but I see no reason to expect different results.
