SOLVED Getting 'pdo_mysql' already loaded in admin

Posted 8 years 4 months ago
    • This is happening with new installs and existing sites. On Wordpress, it's limited to the administrator, but on Joomla it's appearing in both the administrator and the live side of the site. I posted about this in the Wordpress > Interstellar category, but since making that post I have tried to install both a Wordpress and a Joomla rocketlauncher for the Photon theme. Updates seemed to fix the joomla install, but the Gantry 5 admin would hang when trying to save changes, and the only way to fix it was leave the page and then come back. The dhanges, thankfully, were saved, but this makes working on it a major hassle.

I love using Gantry, but this is a major issue for us. I've included the server information in the secure area so you know exactly what we're running.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    • If you're getting a "pdo_mysql already loaded" error that's a pure server error... software doesn't load PHP modules... so you've likely got an issue in your php.ini file...

    • The issue goes away if I disable the Gantry plugin in Wordpress. The only thing I have in the php.ini files I've made is "memory_limit = 128M" to give Gantry enough memory to actually work. I'm not sure why it would have been working before, but not now, unless there was an update somewhere that caused an incompatibility.

I can contact our host to see what's happening.

    • Take a screen shot of the error please... do you have any other php.ini files? perhaps in the Joomla /administrator/ folder? Look at all the php.ini files... even ones your host created

    • Thanks for the help. You were right about there being a problem with the PHP.ini file. It's been resolved now. Again, thanks for the help.
