    SOLVED Gantry Responsive Columns Possible?

Posted 8 years 4 months ago
    • I am new to Gantry but picking things up quickly using the Citadel theme. I am however faced with a problem Ican't resolve.

I have two rows with particles in the elements as such:
      Row1: Particle A Particle B
      Row2: Position 1 Position 2

That is just fine on desktop but when I go to mobile, they stack up like so:
      Particle A
      Particle B
      Position 1
      Position 2

However, I need them to stack up as
      Particle A
      Position 1
      Particle B
      Position 2

In essence, that they behave as so:
      Col1 Col2
      Row1: Particle A Particle B
      Row2: Position 1 Position 2

And for Col2 to stack under Col1 in mobile.

Is there a way to make the items in the Layout Manager behave in such a way?
For further information, Positions 1 & 2 are new module postions pulling in input from a 3rd party module

      Thanks

    • You should use just two positions and then assign two modules to each position

      so just

      position1 position2

with module (containing particle A ) in position1
      another module in position1

      A module (containing particle B ) in position2
      another module in position2

to put a particle in a module you create a "Gantry 5 particle" module in module manager and choose your particle in there.

Then you can order the modules within a position as you would like in module manager.

      Regards, Mark.

    • Thanks, I totally get that. Was wondering what the "Gantry 5 Particle" module was for. In the time before your answer however, I had found a workaround by using a Custom HTML particle and "Modules Anywhere" from Regular Labs. Not the canonical way to do it but works. I will change to the "proper" way later.

Not sure how to mark this as solved!
