    SOLVED Splitmenu and Dropdown

Posted 8 years 4 months ago
    • Greetings,

I am not sure where this post belongs, but i think maybe here.
When creating menu items, there used to be the ability to modify 'Dropdown Menu Options' as well as 'Splitmenu Menu Options'.
Not sure why these have disappeared in one of the latest rockettheme templates that i am using now.
A google search indicated it might have something to do with the RokNavMenu and possibly the menu being a different type in the latest templates.
Any help and clarification would be greatly appreciated.
      Thank you.

    • Correct, that's a RokNavMenu function. The Core Gantry 5 Menu system doesn't have a Split Menu option/concept

You're not bound to use the Gantry 5 menu system in our Gantry 5 templates... but, that's what we style in terms of matching template/demo content...

You can load any menu system of your choosing into a G5 template... same as you can load any Joomla module of your choosing... so if you'd like to use RokNavMenu instead you certainly can, it just wont' be styled out-of-the-box to match one of our G5 templates

    • Hello Matt,

Thank you for the clarification. I will take a look at installing the RokNavMenu as an option.
I guess i can also dig around and find out what file is controlling those parameters and try and tweak it that way as well.
      Thanks again for the explanation.

      Enjoy your evening.
