That file : /custom/scss/_flexslider.scss is the problem, why do you use it? You should only override the stuff that you need to and not the whole file and then change stuff in it because that file have includes in it that are making the problem.
I renamed it to the /custom/scss/_flexslider_back.scss and now the problem is solved, or if you don't need it you can erase it. - Available for CUSTOM WORK with Joomla, WordPress and Grav Templates and Gantry Framework!

I didn't create that _flexslider.scss file, it must be part of the rocketlauncher file set. I will keep an eye on my other sites that use the same template (Requiem) to see if they become affected with the same issue.

- If you didn't create it then you can delete it. Also in the custom.scss there is an import statement for the flex slider you can erase that also !
