SOLVED Component override

    • Just trying to cover all bases here to try to find my problem.

I have a 3rd party component installed in my latest version Joomla site, and I'm using the Hydrogen Gantry theme.

I need to override one of the template views of the 3rd party component.

Is there anything Gantry specific that prevents the addition of an html folder in the Hydrogen theme folder? Should my override files be in the Custom folder within the Hydrogen template folder, or at top level?

I've tried multiple paths for the overrides, but my changes are not showing up on the site, so just trying to figure out why.

      Thanks for any insight.

      Lou

    • Joomla standard overrides will go in the html folder there's nothing special about Gantry 5 in that respect. The "custom" folder is overriding anything to do with Gantry 5 itself, it's templates, or it's particles.
