SOLVED PHP upgrade issues with Gantry

When attempting to use the password reset required function in Joomla I get a 500 error...I turned off the required reset and everything works...so I decided to upgrade PHP to see if it fixed the problem.
I'm running Joomla 3.7.2 and when attempting to upgrade from PHP 5.6.3 to 7.1.6...I'm getting a gantry template not found load gantry framework error on the site. I'm using Hydrogen template. This is what I found in the logs.

I'm running the latest Joomla and PHP as well as gantry on a beta site and I have no issues...anyone have any ideas what the problem is?

Make sure that you have the latest version of everything installed... Gantry, RT extensions, and template.
If still no good Please would you post your URL, superuser id and pswd in the secure tab of your post and I'll have a look for you.

Gantry, roknavmenu, and roksprocket were all out of date so I updated them to the latest PHP7.x compatible versions - so try your php upgrade again now. Although you appear to now be using Gantry 5 and Hydrogen template you also have Gantry 4 and rt extensions installed even though these are apparently not used they will impact on your G5 site. So I recommend that you uninstall g4 template, Gantry 4 and any rt extensions that you are no longer using too.
