SOLVED custom css javascript atom disabled

    • Hi there,

For reasons I need not go into I've recently updated a site from the hydrogen template 5.1.6 to 5.4.13 (and the accompanying Framework update)

Since the update whenever I place (or replace) a custom CSS/JS atom it shows greyed out an with roll over text 'This atom has been disabled and won't be rendered on the frontend. You can still configure, move and delete.'

Can someone please tell me how to re-enable these atoms? This happens in both individual outlines and the Base Outline.

This is on a test version of the site, so not critical at the moment. I can work around it, but I'd prefer to work with the Framework.

    • Go to the base outline particle defaults and make sure the custom css/js atom is anabled. The go into the base outline > page settings and make sure the atom in the atom section is enabled too.

btw the best way of doing custom css is to use a custom.scss file instead of the atom...

To create a custom CSS compatible with Gantry 5 please read this http://docs.gantry.org/gantry5/tutorials/adding-a-custom-style-sheet .

Remember to recompile CSS from base outline too.

      Regards, Mark.

    • Thanks Mr T.

I took the nuclear option, as it only involved two outlines, and reinstalled the Template. The atoms work now ;).

Thank you also for your recommendation to use the custom.scss style sheet. You'll be happy to know I am already doing that with this site, I just wanted to localise the CSS and JS to a single outline. I know there are also ways to do this within the overall CSS, but I like the neatness of using the atoms :).

      Thanks again,

      Jon.
