SOLVED Particle Access Control

    • Hello there.

I was wondering if it is possible to make a given particle exclusive for registered members on my site.

I have Callisto template. The particle I'd like to hide when user is not logged in is "Iconmenu".

It should show only when user is logged in to the site.

      Is this possible?

      Thank you!

      Ivan.

    • Yes, but you have to use Joomla ACL to do it, which in turns means that the particle has to be inside a module.

Fortunately we provide this ability. You can create a "Gantry 5 particle" module in module manager, and in there select the particle that you want to create. You will then be able to set the access level for that module. Of course the module will need to be published to a module position, so you need to ensure that a module position particle is on the layout of your outline with a suitable "key" (module position name that you will use).

      Regards, Mark.
