I figured out how to use lightbox in Helium Template when I only need a link to an image, which opens in a lightcase (inline popup).
How can I use lightcase to show the content of a custom module or possibly of a joomla item? The best would be to automatically open it on page load. Any ideas?
Any help would be highly appreciated, thank you!

In our commercial template we have a particle called "popupmodule" particle that uses lightcase.js but this is not present in the free themes like "Helium" and "Hydrogen".

No, not separately. If you want particles from other commercial templates then you need to buy that template and copy the particle from it.
If you want to know how to copy a Gantry 5 particle from one template to another please read my tutorial here in Gantry 5 Official Documentation
here

Thanks, I know how to copy particles.
And I just found a solution to display the content of my custom module in a lightcase on page load by myself. With that documentation on
cornel.bopp-art.com/lightcase/documentation/
and as I found the "Lightcase Atom" in the Hydrogen template, it's not too hard with a little inline javascript and the correct id of my module and the data-rel attribute set to lightcase.
