    • Hi there

      Just ran the Google Mobile-Friendly Test and my website did not pass, even though it is working responsively, and in the Gantry settings the layout mode is set to responsive. In the test the page loads all messed up, see the screenshot attached.

      I´m worried because Google is more and more ranking pages based on responsiveness, even when the searches are made in a desktop. Any solution to this?

    • Please read the error message Google is providing you (View Details at the top). It's because you're blocking resources via your robots.txt file that doesn't allow GoogleBot to properly render your page.

      you need to make sure you're not disallowing /wp-content/ in your robots.txt... possibly other folders

      Sorry, but not sure what to do with my robots, I´m only disallowing the WP login page, not wp-content:

    • For a test try removing the disallow on wp-admn.
      I see 403 on admin-ajax file so possible you have some other type of permission issue on this site.

    • I still think it's a robots.txt issue somehow...

      see if your other folders (like wp-content/ and wp-content/cache) have robots.txt files in them

      try removing it completely as a test as well

    • Tried editing the robots file and also eliminating it all together but still getting the "not mobile friendly" warning. Maybe it´s caused by my massive css custom file, in which I forced some widths and positions.

      Anyway I´m leaving as it is because I´m already building a new site from zero using the same theme, and this time I will follow the "recreate the demo" instructions.

    • Your issue here isn't related to theme settings or functions... it's a pure server thing... your server is not allowing Google Bot Mobile to see certain resources... it's all on the View Details tab of the Google Mobile Friendly checker... if your robots.txt file isn't blocking the content (it certainly doesn't look like it is to me... though you're using a plugin to generate it and I can't say if it's using the right encoding and all that) then its something else on your server that's block Google Bot... ask your host to investigate
