    • Hi there. Can you just clarify for me how a YAML file works in regards to the order of sections in any particular Gantry layout.

      For the following example:
      version: 2
      preset:
      image: 'gantry-admin://images/layouts/default.png'
      name: coming_soon
      timestamp: 1533805371
      layout:
      top: { }
      navigation:
      -
      - logo-1837
      /slideshow/:
      -
      - simplecontent-8300
      /header/: { }
      /above/: { }
      /showcase/: { }
      /utility/: { }
      /feature/: { }
      /container-main/:
      -
      -
      'sidebar 20': { }
      -
      'mainbar 60':
      -
      - simplecounter-4200
      -
      'aside 20': { }
      /expanded/: { }
      /extension/: { }
      /bottom/:

      If I wanted to have the main-container section appear higher up the layout, is it as simple as just moving that section into the place I want it and saving the file? Am I missing something else?

    • You need to create a new layout preset for the arrangement that you want rather than changing ours.

      See http://docs.gantry.org/gantry5/advanced/creating-layout-presets .

      Once that is done you can the load that preset using the "LOAD" button on your outline.

      Note that indentation has meaning in YAML files and should be 2 spaces and NOT a tab otherwiser your YAML will break.
