SOLVED 500 Internal Server Error Saving Layout

  • SOLVED 500 Internal Server Error Saving Layout

Posted 5 years 5 months ago
    • We recently launched a new instance of Joomla, Gantry Framework and Helium Template using the latest version the Rocket Launcher. We are seeing a "500 Inetrnal Server Error" when saving the layout. Any ideas?

FYI, the error_log has the followingwhen I tailed it:

      [Thu Nov 21 21:07:20.135562 2019] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 15586] [client 68.169.145.44:58760] Invalid status line from script 'index.php': 0, referer: /administrator/index.php?option=com_gantry5&view=configurations/12/layout&theme=g5_helium&1b9f9d9bb88d77a0886a72de29c41a8c=1

      Any ideas?

    • I changed error level to maximum in global config.

You're actually getting a permissions issue.

Your "log" path is not writeable (see screenshot).

Also, it could be that your mod_security rules are preventing access to some resource - so check you security log too.

      Regards, Mark.

    • Thanks. One of my devs move the log directory, so I fixed that. I simply chown'd everything apache:apache in the site and that took care of it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
